CNC/Machine Shop Supervisor

Position Overview
The CNC/Machine Shop Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the machining department, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in the production process. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team of machinists, coordinate production schedules, and maintain the highest standards in our manufacturing environment, particularly for aerospace and defense projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily activities of the machine shop team, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Coordinate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and resolve issues that arise during production.
• Provide training and support to machining staff to enhance their skills and maintain a high level of performance.
• Monitor machine operations and maintenance schedules, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and safely.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and facilitate team meetings to promote communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or Machine Shop Supervisor in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or defense.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machinery, including CNC lathes and mills, and machining processes.
• Experience with quality control standards and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with DoD regulations and compliance standards is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
