We also help clients plan for their future through retirement and wealth management services. With offices based in San Francisco, San Leandro, San Mateo, and Menlo Park we are looking to add an Audit Manager to either our SF or San Leandro locations.
Position Overview:
As the Audit Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and documentation of various audits and other attestation engagements including reviews, compilations, uniform guidance compliance audits, and agreed-upon procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead audit engagements for various clients, including non-profit organizations
Ensure compliance with GAAP and GAAS standards
Oversee billing and collections processes for audit services
Conduct internal control assessments and make recommendations for improvements
Coordinate and liaise with external auditors for annual audits
Conduct accounting research and provide guidance on complex accounting issues
Develop and implement audit plans and strategies
Manage department budget and monitor expenses
Prepare and review financial statements
Mentor and train staff on audit techniques and best practices
Qualifications:
CPA certification
5+ years of experience in public accounting, preferably with non-profit clients
Thorough understanding of GAAP and GAAS
Experience with single audits and knowledge of Uniform Guidance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
Experience with CCH ProSystemFx preferred
