Sr Test Engineer/Lead Test Engineer

Please Note - This role REQUIRES an Engineering Degree ( Bachelors / 4 year degree)

We are on the hunt for a Senior Test Engineer, ideally a LEAD Test Engineer with a bit of team leadership under their belt, for a key role on our testing team based in the Irvine/Orange County, CA area.

In this role you will be working as a HANDS ON team Lead and Testing Engineer, where you will supervise the teams' efforts and personally execute testing processes for aerospace systems, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications. This role involves supervising a team of engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement automated testing solutions, contributing to the success of defense and military projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of test engineers in the execution of testing activities.
Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
Ensure quality assurance and quality control standards are met throughout the testing process.
Collaborate with design and development teams to identify testing requirements and objectives.
Conduct testing on components and technology in accordance with aerospace standards.
Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting any issues or improvements needed.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on test methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in test engineering, with a focus on aerospace applications.
Proven experience in leading teams and supervising engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and testing methodologies.
Familiarity with military and defense standards, particularly within the DoD and Navy sectors.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
