Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multi-state tax compliance and ensuring accurate tax reporting for corporate income tax. This position requires a strong understanding of tax law, as well as expertise in tax planning and preparation, particularly in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and file federal and multi-state corporate income tax returns
Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities
Review and analyze financial statements for tax reporting accuracy
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary tax-related information
Provide guidance and support to junior tax staff
Assist in tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and their impact on the organization

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm
Strong knowledge of multi-state tax laws and regulations
Experience with corporate income tax
Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
