HSE Specialist

Position Overview
The HSE Specialist will oversee and implement health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations within the construction and utilities sectors. The role involves monitoring field activities, conducting safety audits, and providing guidance to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role will primarily be working projects in Fort Worth and westward. Lodging and meals provided for overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA standards and regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Provide training and guidance to staff on safety practices and emergency response procedures.
Monitor field activities and ensure adherence to safety protocols during construction and utility operations.
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety into project planning and execution.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to health, safety, and the environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in the construction or utilities industry.
Associate's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management or related field is preferred.
Certification in OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 is required; OSHA 500 certification is a plus.
BCSP/CUSP or related certifications a major plus.
Strong understanding of EHS regulations, safety procedures, and field monitoring techniques.
Experience with powerlines, electrical systems, and crane operations is highly preferred.
Valid CPR and First Aid certification required; willingness to maintain certifications.
Ability to travel as needed and work on call and overtime when required.
