Plant Manager - Seafood
Position Overview
The Plant Manager - Seafood is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the seafood processing facility, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The role involves managing staff, optimizing processes, and implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency in seafood manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the seafood processing plant to ensure production efficiency and quality standards.
- Manage and lead a team of production staff, providing training and support to optimize performance.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve production processes and achieve business goals.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality assurance protocols in all aspects of production.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on production metrics to senior management.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement and lead initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and logistics, to streamline operations.
- Manage inventory levels and supply chain processes to meet production demands.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably in seafood processing.
- Strong understanding of seafood processing operations and industry standards.
- Proven experience in plant management, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to manage a diverse team.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to food safety and quality assurance.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to enhance operational performance.
