What we're looking for: Our St. Louis, Missouri office is seeking to hire a Discovery/Research & Writing Associate Attorney to support one of our litigation teams. We are looking for energetic, driven, detail-oriented people for this on-site position.
This is a discovery/legal research and writing position and some responsibilities include: legal research, drafting law and motion briefs, opposing dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions, propounding and responding to written discovery, court appearances, and second and third chair trial work. It can also include managing court dockets, assisting case handling attorneys, meeting and conferring with opposing counsel, preparing subpoenas, FOIA requests, and documents with respect to deposition testimony.
The ideal discovery/legal research and writing/case managing attorney will possess excellent legal research and writing abilities, discovery experience, law and motion experience, the ability to cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, and an enthusiastic desire to work as part of a team on behalf of injured clients.
Candidates must be members of the Missouri and Illinois state bars and able to travel periodically. Please be prepared to submit an original writing sample.
