We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Estimator with a strong background in industrial piping, HVAC, and plumbing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the intricacies of mechanical systems and will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
-Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial piping, HVAC, and plumbing systems on commercial and industrial projects.
-Analyze project plans and specifications to develop a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
-Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
-Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure the best pricing and delivery options.
-Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations to gain a full understanding of the project scope.
-Assist in value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.
-Maintain and update a database of historical project costs to improve the accuracy of future estimates.
-Provide ongoing support to project teams during construction to ensure estimates are met and address any changes or challenges that arise.
Qualifications
- At least 10+ years of experience as a Mechanical Estimator, specializing in industrial piping, HVAC, and plumbing.
-Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and their application in commercial and industrial settings.
-Proven track record of successfully estimating projects valued between $5 and $10 million.
-Proficiency in estimating software Trimble, or similar and Microsoft Office Suite.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
-Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
