Tell us about an exciting job match you made recently?
I paired the perfect Ruby developer with her dream job. The company was looking for a passionate Senior Ruby developer with a love for Algorithms and Problem Solving in the bay area, which is rare to find. The candidate I talked to was looking for a role that really challenged her skillset, and where she could lead. It was an added bonus that she loved that my client was in the music industry because she was a former guitarist. I knew instantly they were a great fit for each other. I submitted her resume, and insisted the VP of Engineering interview her, even though he had some hesitation because her most recent role appearing to be more DevOps related. She interviewed and was a huge hit. They clicked perfectly and had felt like old friends. A few interviews later, she was eager to join the team and the company was ecstatic to have her, offering a 15k raise from her current salary. She excitedly accepted! As a recruiter, you have to know to one, listen and two, deliver.
What drives you to go and above and beyond?
Affecting peoples careers, and bringing hard to find candidates and companies together in a positive way, drives me to go above and beyond. I'm a firm believer that consistency, confidence, and integrity sustain business relationships. My goal is to continually build long lasting relationships in the tech industry creating a community that supports and encourages.
