Title: EHS Manager - Food/Dairy/Packaging
Location: Dunkirk, New York - Relocation Assistance Available
Salary: $110,000-$125,000/Year + Bonus and Benefits
Requirements: 7+ Years of EHS Management as well as EHS Compliance and reporting in a Food Manufacturing Role. A strong understanding of EPA, OSHA and regulatory agencies. The ability to work in a past paced Environment will be needed for this role. MUST HAVE PSM Experience as well as Start-Up Manufacturing (ASEPTIC), as well as an understanding of Construction processes/Project Management.
What You Will Be Doing
-Develop and maintain regulatory compliant environment and safety policies and procedures across all facilities.
-Drive the strategic development and deployment of environmental and safety initiatives.
-Serve as a liaison with state and local EPA, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
-Advise operations and M&A leaders on compliance strategies.
-Manage departmental activities including budget, cost containment, and performance management of indirect reports.
-Audit existing environmental and safety programs and identify gaps for improvement.
-Drive compliance training for company personnel related to EHS programs.
-Collaborate with operations to reduce EHS related costs while maintaining operational efficiencies.
-Develop and coach indirect reports including EHS facility leaders.
What You Need for this Position
-Bachelor's Degree in occupational health, Environmental Management, Safety, Chemistry, Life Science, Industrial Hygiene or related fields.
-7 - 10 years of progressive environmental management experience preferred.
-5 - 7 years of EHS compliance and reporting experience.
-Strong knowledge of applicable state and federal laws related to EHS.
-Manufacturing and wastewater treatment experience preferred.
-Problem-solving skills for effective resolutions.
-Developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other applicable applications.
-Experience in troubleshooting, analyzing trends, and managing personnel.
-Project management experience.
