Site Civil Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Site Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing various civil engineering projects, ensuring that they meet client expectations and comply with all regulations and standards. Our projects span from Infrastructure, Transportation, Residential, Commercial, and Energy and Utilities Projects throughout the U.S.

The Site Civil Engineer will work collaboratively with other engineering professionals to design, develop, and implement projects in several of these disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site assessments and evaluations to gather data for design projects.
  • Develop and design site plans and infrastructure layouts using AutoCAD and other design software.
  • Perform soil analysis and geotechnical investigations to inform project design and construction methods.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering specialists to achieve project objectives.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and propose mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Supervise construction activities and provide guidance to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
  • Prepare and deliver project reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Utilize land surveying techniques to accurately assess and map project sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification (required)
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or in progress.
  • Proven experience in site development and civil engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, along with other engineering design software.
  • Strong understanding of soil analysis and geotechnical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with structural design and construction management practices is a plus.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and environmental impact assessment processes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
