Audit Manager

We are a mid-sized 20 person public accounting firm based in Norwalk. We do both audit and tax and are hiring on both teams. Currently for the Audit team we are seeking an Audit Senior or Audit Manager. This role is primarily onsite and we can pay at or above market rate for the right candidate. Position Overview
The Audit Manager will oversee the audit process for clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and providing assurance on financial statements. The role involves leading audit teams, managing client relationships, and delivering high-quality audit services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning through completion, including managing budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate and supervise audit staff, providing guidance and support throughout the audit process.
• Review and analyze financial statements for compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
• Prepare and present audit findings to clients and stakeholders, offering practical solutions and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and understanding of their audit needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact audit practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, auditing standards, and assurance services.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes.
