Compensation: $100K-$150K (DOE)

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical malpractice law or defense of assisted living/nursing home facilities. This role involves providing legal support, drafting documents, and representing clients in court. 170 hours/month billable hour requirement (2040/year).

Key Responsibilities

Conduct legal research and analysis on medical malpractice cases.
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
Assist in the preparation of cases for trial, including gathering evidence and preparing witnesses.
Represent clients in court hearings and negotiations.
Consult with clients to understand their legal needs and provide guidance.
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and legal arguments.
170 hours/month - 2040 hours/year

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice law in Illinois
3+ years of experience in general liability defense - focus on medical malpractice or nursing home/assisted living work.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
