We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of accounts receivable, including ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, monitoring outstanding payments, and maintaining excellent relationships with customers to ensure smooth collections.
Invoice Generation & Review: Generate and review invoices for accuracy and completeness, ensuring that all billing details are correct and in line with contractual agreements.
Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor and manage the AR aging report, follow up with customers to resolve outstanding payments, and take appropriate actions to ensure timely collections.
Collections: Engage in regular communication with customers to resolve payment issues, disputes, or discrepancies, and escalate issues as necessary.
Payment Processing: Process incoming payments, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic transfers, ensuring proper application to customer accounts.
Customer Communication: Work closely with customers to answer questions about their invoices, payment status, and account discrepancies.
Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of AR accounts to ensure accuracy of financial records and adherence to company policies.
Reporting: Prepare and present periodic AR reports, including cash forecasts, aging reports, and collection progress to management.
Dispute Resolution: Investigate, track, and resolve billing issues or payment disputes in a timely and professional manner.
System Updates: Maintain up-to-date customer records in the financial system, ensuring accurate billing and payment histories.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant accounting regulations and standards.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a similar finance role.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AR processes.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.
