As a Cost Accountant, you will aid in the acquisition process of new, company-wide construction projects. You will assist our construction and accounting leadership teams in performing cost accounting procedures, including the research and analysis of up-and-coming development projects and corresponding budgets. The right candidate will possess an aptitude for numbers, be extremely detail-oriented, practice meticulous accounting methods and procedures, and be an excellent communicator.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Document and maintain appropriate financial records of project job costs, transaction activity and balances
Perform financial statement analysis, and offer comments on any variances
Perform account reconciliations
Prepare month-end closings, balance sheet presentations and income statement findings
Serve as point of contact from our suppliers and vendors, partners, investors and owners
Ensure and maintain financial compliance with local state and federal government regulations

Qualifications:

1-2 years Accounting experience - Real Estate or Construction industry a major plus!
Proficiency in Excel
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or similar discipline)
Attention to detail and a love for learning
