We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager with CPA and public accounting experience to join our team. This is a partner track role in our office.
Position Overview:
The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for providing tax advice to clients and helping to manage their overall tax compliance. The Senior Tax Manager will help lead and guide staff in the delivery of quality tax services, review tax returns and other related work, and ensure that the firm is in compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong client relationships
Provide advice and assistance to clients on tax and accounting matters
Review and prepare tax returns and financial statements
Prepare tax research and provide guidance to staff
Develop and review tax strategies for clients
Analyze complex business transactions and develop tax-efficient plans to increase revenue
Monitor and review tax laws and regulations for changes that may affect clients
Assist in the preparation of presentations to clients
Assist in the training of staff in taxation and accounting matters
Review the work of staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations
Qualifications:
CPA license
Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on tax
In-depth knowledge of US federal and state tax laws
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Detail-oriented and organized
Proficient in tax return preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
