Specialist Systems Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement server and storage solutions, including Windows Server and SAN technologies.
Manage and optimize virtualization environments using VMWare and vSphere.
Monitor system performance and availability using tools such as PRTG.
Configure and maintain network devices, including switches and routers.
Develop and execute scripts for automation purposes using PowerShell and Python.
Ensure data integrity and security across systems with Active Directory management.
Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues related to TCP/IP and Fiber Channel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, VMWare, vSphere, and SAN technologies.
Experience with network infrastructure, including switches and routers.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like PRTG would be a bonus
Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell and/or Python would be a bonus
Understanding of SQL databases and Active Directory administration.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
