We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team and take ownership of our financial records and operations. The successful candidate will possess a CPA in addition to knowledge of real estate and accounting. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws, and developing financial strategies.
Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. This position will require an experienced and knowledgeable professional who is organized and detail-oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze financial statements and identify areas of improvement
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with statutory regulations and accounting principles
Perform month-end and year-end close procedures
Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented
Prepare and submit financial reports to management and external parties
Monitor and reconcile bank accounts
Develop and maintain internal control systems
Provide financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
Research and resolve discrepancies
Advise on financial strategies and risk management
Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting and financial regulations
Qualifications:
CPA certification required
Real Estate experience is a plus
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks) is a plus
