You will be a key player on the Quality Lab team and will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, supplier quality and optimized cost position. You MUST be a familiar with various manufacturing processes, quality documents, and supplier relations as they pertain to the following: APAQ, FAI, QAIP, IPQC, PPAP, CAPA, etc.
You should be familiar with how to verify and inspect parts from a supplier, where necessary and feasible. (Both in process and Final inspection).
Assist QE with performing production reviews on all new products.
Review inspection reports from suppliers and third parties.
Assist in all purchased part approval activities with internal CSI team and other countries supply base.
Be able to pay close attention to CTQ parameters within an inspection process.
Adjust inspection criteria and approaches depending on manufacturing process and associated risks.
Develop thorough quality assurance criteria based on critical dimensions and requirements from the prints and consistency with the samples.
- 2 year Associates Degree and/or at least 3+ years of work experience in AUTOMOTIVE/OEM industry (preferred)
- ISO 9001:2015 familiarity
- CMM experience preferred
- Familiar with: APAQ/PPAP/FAI/QAIP/IPQC/CAPA/Quality Measurement Instruments
- Blueprint Reading + GD&T Knowledge
- Be able to interpret oral, written and diagram instructions
- Quality Inspection and Quality Testing experience is a MUST
- Proficiency in Excel, Word & Outlook
