Who you are:
5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in Aerospace/Defense
5+ years in leading and conducting Root Cause and Corrective Action
Knowledge of IPC-610-A and IPC J-STD-001 standards
Bachelor Degree in Engineering (preferred)
AS9100D/ISO9001:2015 certified Lead Auditor (highly preferred)
Lean Six Sigma experience (certification preferred)
Space program and product knowledge is a plus
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Inventory Control program experience preferred
CQE/CQA certification preferred but not required
ANSI/ESD S20.20 Electrostatic Discharge Certification preferred but not required
Jira QA Software experience preferred but not required
What you will be doing:
Directly manage and oversee day to day activities, employees and KPI/metrics performance of Quality department.
Responsible for implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of company's QMS, processes and procedures to AS9100D, space requirements and any other regulatory or statutory requirements.
Conduct organizational training activities such as SOP, WI, RCCA, team building department, statutory, regulatory and industry standards.
Responsible for organizational internal audit schedule and activities to AS9100, DO-330 and DO-178 regulations.
Accountable for organizational continuous improvement/process improvement activities.
Oversee organizational quality strategic planning, implementation and deployment.
Host customer and 3rd party audits. Conduct new supplier and surveillance audits.
Support supplier development and management.
Develop and manage company-wide metrics to meet company's policy and goals as well as to continuously monitor and manage QMS effectiveness.
Conduct contract requirements and review for quality and create quality compliance matrices to ensure proper flow down communication and execution activities.
Participate in monthly PMR, engineering gates review, manufacturing readiness review, RTVM, CM, PDR, CDR, MRR and TRR as Quality lead.
Compile and present quarterly QMR presentations to Senior Leadership Team.
Lead materials review board, critical review board and process improvement committees as well as organization failure investigation activities and meetings.
Member of Senior Leadership Team, Safety committee and Emergency Response Team. Act as company Management Representative and FOD program.
Designated space program lead QE and MIPS inspector to NASA standards.
