Who you are:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or similar
5+ years of experience developing and implementing Continuous improvement processes
Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
Experience leading Kaizen events, 5S and Value Stream Mapping across diverse work forces
Knowledge of advanced quality tools like FMEA, PFEMA, DOE, QFD, 6-sigma
Understanding of quality management systems ISO9000/AS9100
What you will be doing:
Manages and promotes CI activity throughout the organization.
Drive continuous improvement and cost reductions through waste reduction, process and production efficiency, and operations improvement. Develop metrics to quantify and capture cost reduction opportunities.
Creates CI project charters that establishes each project's purpose, objectives, scope, stakeholder needs, team member roles and responsibilities. Report project status on a predetermined schedule and issue project completion summaries that include achievement of goals.
Supports plant production of existing product lines with a focus on eliminating defects and waste while identifying and implementing best Lean practices focused on improving the processes and eliminating waste
Sets Goals for executing Lean manufacturing business benefits (quality, cost reduction, efficiency improvements, manufacturing value enhancement, data integrity, Value Stream Mapping) that ensures transparency of delivered benefits to the facility.
Ensures that the team members put in practice a project management way of thinking that becomes embedded in the culture using established A3 form and process (PDCA, DMAIC, responsibilities and accountabilities, project review discipline, Problem Solving Discipline).
Consolidates Continuous Improvement processes across operations and streamlines them towards one joint goal of eliminating the 8 Wastes
Provides multiple levels of training for all department team members: lean training, team building, cross training, etc., assisting each team member in growing individually in preparation for further advancement. Ensures that team member selections are diverse
Interacts as a member of the Plant Leadership Teams to advance lean practices and promotes a Continuous Learning environment across all departments and builds engagement across our team members
Facilitates individuals or teams through a formal problem solving methodology and develops a prioritizing system for problem solving initiatives
Provide a high level of technical and operational recommendations for meeting productivity targets
Coordinate and lead Value Stream Mapping events to reduce waste at all levels of the Value Stream.
