If you are a Electrical Controls Engineer with experience, and a DESIRE TO GET OFF THE ROAD and MINIMIZE travel by working on ONE location. Please read on as this role is based onsite and will be local to the Taylor Creek/Okeechobee, FL area!
This work will be based in the Central Florida plant and will work in support of plant operations, under the direction of the Plant Manger, Operations and Maintenance teams, as well as in conjunction with floor level, direct line team members.
IDEALLY qualified candidates will have a solid grasp of ALLEN BRADLEY controls, and the ability to troubleshoot, tweak existing programs and write new programs for various applications.
We are seeking candidates with as much of the following experience/Qualifications as possible:
Desired Education - a 4 Year degree, ideally a BS in Electrical Engineering
o Professional Engineer License a plus
o Those with Knowledge of National Electrical Code. (NFPA 70) and/or Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace (NFPA 70E) desired.
o We would prefer those with knowledge of OSHA safety requirements. (29 CFR 1910)
Desired Experience- 5-8 years in electrical controls engineering
o Direct/Hands-on experience with industrial control systems and troubleshooting equipment.
Ability to Troubleshoot, repair and adjust PLC electrical systems.
Ability to Diagnose electrical problems using various meters and related equipment.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
Ability/Experience with single phase, three phase motor systems and control circuits.
o Significant knowledge of/Experience with:
PLC programming and PLC/HMI communications including Profibus, DeviceNet, ProfiNet, Industrial Ethernet
AC drive configuration and servo systems (Siemens Micromaster, AB PowerFlex, SimoDrive 611U, SEW IPOS)
The specific electrical control background that we are seeking includes knowledge of:
o GUI
o HMI/MMI architecture
o Siemens WinCC, Siemens TIA, AB FactoryTalk View
Structured programming abilities for various systems including:
o Allen Bradley - AB RSLogix 500/5000
o Omron
o Siemens - Siemens Step 7
o GE Fanuc PLC
Qualified candidates should bring a valid driver's license, along with the willingness for occasional, but not regular travel.
Strong interpersonal skills, both in the ability to communicate with folks at all technical levels, and with engineering documentation, is a KEY to success in the role.
