We are an Engineering and Construction company, offering design, management and consulting within the Industrial Power and Utilities space. Our team has been around for 30+ years, and continuing to grow. We are now looking to add another Electrical PE to the mixture.
Position Overview:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing expert guidance on the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing, troubleshooting and improving electrical control systems for high-power applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain electrical systems and equipment following necessary regulations and standards.
- Design and implement power and control systems and solutions for high-power applications.
- Perform system commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Analyze power system protection and relay coordination using tools such as ETAP, SKM and others.
- Design systems to meet industry and government standards such as IEEE and NEC.
- Provide technical direction for engineering processes and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all systems and equipment.
Qualifications:
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- 5+ years experience in Power Engineering or Construction.
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
- ETAP and/or SKM experience.
- Medium Voltage.
- Protection Relay, Protection, Coordination and Programming
- Basic knowledge of Motors, Generators, and Transformers
- Experience with Medium Voltage Circuit and Protection preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as IEEE and NEC.
