We are looking for Transportation Project Engineers to join our team in our Houston office.
What You Will Be Doing
The Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in coordinating technical and administrative activities across various disciplines and departments within the company participating in a project. Their responsibilities include performing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checks on plans, calculations, specifications, and quantities developed by civil engineering and other project engineers, following the IEI QA/QC plan. As a technical specialist, the Project Engineer serves as a staff advisor and consultant to the civil engineering specialty for land/site development, public works, and transportation-related projects. Additionally, they undertake complex assignments, developing novel civil engineering techniques or procedures to enhance equipment, materials, processes, and methods. Marketing the firm's capabilities within the civil engineering specialty and mentoring colleagues are also part of their dynamic role.
