Position: Billing Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for handling all aspects of billing for our law firm, with a focus on utilizing their billing system. The ideal candidate will have experience in legal billing and be familiar with billing software such as 3E and Elite. This is a full-time position located at our office in Silicon Valley and/or SF.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate and process bills using the billing system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all billing information
Work closely with attorneys and staff to review, edit, and finalize bills in a timely manner
Manage electronic billing (e-billing) for clients, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues
Maintain a thorough understanding of the firm's billing policies and procedures
Communicate with attorneys and clients regarding billing inquiries and delinquent accounts
Create and maintain billing reports and records for management review
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of new billing software or processes

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a legal billing role
Proficiency in using billing software such as 3E and Elite
Experience with proformas, billing and e-billing is required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with Aderant billing software is a plus
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
