Position Overview: The Asphalt Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of asphalt paving projects, from planning to completion. This individual will work closely with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of asphalt paving projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and communicate project updates and progress
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of project tasks
- Prepare project estimates, proposals, and budgets
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and budget constraints
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, including FDOT and DOT guidelines
- Manage and maintain project documentation, including change orders, site plans, and permits
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work is being done according to specifications
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in asphalt paving, with at least 2 years in a project management role
- Strong knowledge of HCSS and B2W software
- Familiarity with FDOT and DOT regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage budgets, schedules, and resources
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to project sites.
