What You Will Be Doing
- Develop core solutions in a PHP/Laravel environment.
- Work with the frontend team to understand and implement application flow.
- Participate in the creation of and use of technical requirements documents.
- Interface with 3rd party APIs to enrich services offered by the platform.
- Work closely with other team members to architect well-engineered, scalable solutions to challenging technical problems.
- Collaborate with counterparts in Product Management to estimate projects, break down work, and present alternative approaches for evaluation.
- Provide ad-hoc reports and bespoke scripts on an as needed basis.
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends
- Ruthlessly seek out process and technical inefficiencies, expose them and propose ways to resolve them.
What You Need for this Position
- B.S. in Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years experience with PHP (Laravel or Symfony)
- 5+ years experience with relational databases (MySQL preferred)
- 2+ years building or maintaining REST APIs
Preferred Skills:
- Experience deploying containerized workloads
- Experience developing on AWS and/or GCP infrastructure
- Experience working in ecommerce platforms with payment processors such as Stripe
