Title: Senior Project Manager, Construction - Outstanding Opportunity
Location: Bakersfield, Los Angeles, or Norwalk, CA can be hybrid a few days if living near the office.
Compensation Base + Commission on Completed Projects
Must have: College Degree with experience in large project construction and management, General Construction preferred
Senior Project Manager needed now to coordinate assigned projects ensuring company resources are utilized appropriately, identify and analyzes project requirements, define project scope with attention to customer requirements. Be based in Norwalk-CA, Bakersfield-CA or Los Angeles, CA and work a hybrid schedule.
What You Will Be Doing
Identify/analyze project requirements, defines project scope, requirements, and deliverables with attention to customer requirements.
Manage project status reports, create/coordinate project schedules, identify/resolves technical problems.
Manage multiple construction projects (up to 6) simultaneously ranging from $1,000,000 to $10,000,000.
Coordinate schedules and manages weekly project meetings.
Coordinate project activities, ensuring all project phases are documented correctly.
Prepare and maintain a budget for each project.
Monitor material acquisition, outside purchases and installations.
What You Need for this Position
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Associate Construction Management or Construction Technology
8+ years experience related to Materials Handling, Structural Steel, Steel Racks or Construction Management
Strong knowledgeable of material handling and warehouse concepts, practices, and procedures.
Construction with structural steel or steel racks knowledge a BIG plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with other trades on a project site.
Customer retention skills are of primary importance.
Travel could be up to 30% which is deemed necessary to maintain project schedule.
