We are currently seeking a Mechanical design/drafting Engineer to join an Alabama based industry leader.
This is a role for a mechanical designer/mechanical drafter who will work on part/pieces/components integrated into recreational vehicles.
Experience working within the automotive, or other vehicle design space is desired. We don't need an Engine Designer, but rather more of a Systems understanding when it comes to getting everything to fit together. Specific experience developing new designs using structural analysis, and an ability to recognize and implement cost savings will be a plus.
This person, if experienced with CNC programming/CNC Router operation, will also assist with CNC router programming, using AlphaCam - If not experience with this, we can train, given the right candidate aptitude.
We are ideally looking for someone with:
An AA degree would be a great fit, but a 4 year Mechanical Engineering degree is a plus.
Applicable experience trumps all!
The desired profile, will include:
"Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D software is required, experience in AutoDesk Inventor software would be a bonus .
"Experience in either Cabinet design, or chassis/structural design would be desired
"Experience with CNC Router programming is a HUGE plus
"Specific experience with ALPHACAM software/programming is also a HUGE plus
"Having experience with SAP would be a plus.
"Having experience with the creation of Bills of Materials/BOM, and Detailed Assembly Drawings is key.
"Strong communication, teamwork, collaboration and commitment to quality make for a quality fit.
"Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
"Ability to recognize and implement cost savings opportunities
"Excellent written and verbal communication skills
