What You Will Be Doing
To Provide technical support to repair center, and engineering regarding part and tooling inspection. The quality tools of Pareto analysis, problem solving, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), process mapping, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) and others will be used by the Quality Engineer to help solve problems and improve the companys business.
- Perform part inspections of machine components
- Maintain inspection sheets and ensure technicians have correct information (drawings, check sheets, write up forms)
- Determines whether tests results are acceptable or not. Communicates results
- Make simple drawing edits (Autocad, Inventor)
- Check and determine corrective actions for outgoing products
- Perform basic maintenance on lab equipment
- Analyze plant complaints and provide report
- Assist in developing quality control procedures
- Engineering support projects as required
- Final sign off and tagging of equipment prior to shipment
- Develop and maintain SOPs for repairs
What You Need for this Position
- 3+ Years of Manufacturing experience
- Strong background in Quality (Quality Checks / Quality Inspections)
- Experience with Continuous Improvement / Process Improvement (Root Cause Analysis & Driving Change)
- Experience writing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Experience or knowledge of AutoCad or Inventor and Excel
- Knowledge of Lean & Six Sigma Principles
