Director of Accounting

Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions.
" Support the organizations financial objectives by providing financial analysis and recommendations and directing staff accordingly.
" Publish monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Executive mandates.
" Develop accounting organizational strategies by contributing accounting and financial information, analysis, and recommendations for strategic thinking and direction, and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
" Establish accounting operational strategies by evaluating trends, establishing critical measurements, determining production, productivity, quality, and service strategies, designing systems, accumulating resources, resolving problems, and implementing change.
" Provide financial projections by coordinating budget/forecast preparation, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial information, and advising departments on the collection and analysis of data.
" Manage and forecast cash requirements and obligations.
" Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
" Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements and provide management with the information vital to the decision-making process.
" Prepare and publish annual budgets.

Ability to accurately calculate and interpret financial data.
" Provide direction to resolve problems to all business unit team members.

" Communicate using the following tools: telephone, fax machine, written logs, email, and computer.
" Having a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) QuickBooks, and other accounting related software.
" Strong working ability to read and interpret financial statements.

Other Qualifications:
" Must have a valid drivers license.
" Must have a bachelors degree in Accounting.
" Four to six years of relevant accounting experience.
