The Clinical Laboratory Manager is responsible for all operations of our clinical services laboratory in Fremont, CA. The primary focus of the Director is to ensure efficient, effective and automated Clinical Service Operations for our suite of tests (Transplant Diagnostics/Dialysis and in the short-medium term COVID testing), with a focus on optimizing turnaround time, throughput, samples/CLS headcount, samples/total headcount and samples/square foot.
The secondary focus is to ensure the automated operations and regular completion of project deliverables for other areas of the business located in the Fremont Lab, including R&D, Project Management, Product Management, Customer Service, Inventory management, Regulatory compliance, Quality Compliance, Finance/Billing HR.

What You Will Be Doing
-Lead all operations of the clinical services laboratory in Fremont, CA
-Develop and meet KPIs for the highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
-Including: TAT, Total Throughput, Throughput/square foot, Throughput/HC
-Build a high-performance culture that takes pride in optimizing a lean operation with a six sigma approach, customer satisfaction, turnaround time and lowering COGS
-Develop a long-term plan to meet the sample throughput of a five-year sales forecast, up to and including a 24/7 lab operations
-Expand operations to a second site for additional COVID testing capacity
-Work closely with R&D and external partners to expand portfolio of tests for Research & Development objectives, Early Access Programs goals, Clinical Studies and Commercial testing
-Own the Quality and Regulatory responsibilities with a duly appointed Quality Manager
What You Need for this Position
-A CLIA License and >10 years CLIA lab experience is required
-Advanced degree (e.g. MBA, PhD, MD or similar) is required
-4-8 years experience in laboratory leadership (lab manager, director or similar)
-4-8 years experience in management of teams >10 people
-COVID Testing experience preferred
