What You Will Be Doing
- Handle all paperwork and coordination for assigned projects.
- Process and log all submittals.
- Prepare and follow up on RFIs.
- Prepare and follow up on change orders. Award change order work to subs.
- Prepare and follow up on client invoices. Approve subcontractor requests for payment.
- Monitor the projects trade specific schedule and submittal log.
- Distribute sketches, shop drawings, submittals, schedules, and punchlists to subcontractor and site superintendent.
- Develop and manage subcontractor and supplier relations.
- Process accounting documentation in conjunction with the corporate office.
- Ensure that all projects are meeting production timeline benchmarks.
- Communicate and execute all procurement needs on a timely basis.
- Strong computer skills needed.
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field of study
- 3+ Years of General Contractor experience with related project experience in commercial construction (preferably focused in capital improvement, corporate office, and advanced technology projects locally)
- Proven project management ability, business sense and acumen, and the desire to develop and grow as an expert professional in the commercial tenant-improvement industry is essential
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials, costing, scheduling and estimating
- Expert understanding of how to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, PlanGrid (or similar project management software, Scheduling software (MS Project), accounting systems and software, and estimating software
