What You Will Be Doing
This position will provide primary accounting and administrative support for multi-family residential construction projects from project startup through final closeout. The ideal candidate will be responsible to ensure that all accounting standard operating procedures are followed, including activities related to contracts, bonds, insurance, payables, liens, billings, and reporting for the jobsite management team.
"Collect, review and process monthly AP invoices and credit card statements
"Route AP invoices for approval among PEs
"Assist with the assembly and preparation of credit card expense reports with receipts
"Coordinate with Project Accountant on which draws AP invoices should be applied
"Enter invoices and assemble for check run(s)
"Audit, follow up and reconcile vendor statements and aging
"Assist with credit application processing
"Follow up with subcontractors to obtain any missing documents so subcontractors are paid on time
"Complete invoice package
"Coordinate with Project Coordinator on missing compliance items (insurance, contractors and city business licenses, etc).
What You Need for this Position
Associates or bachelors degree in Accounting or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) and 2 + years of experience.
Demonstrates proficiency in basic accounting principles.
Demonstrates solid customer service skills and verbal/written skills.
Demonstrates the ability to be a team player and function in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
