Start-up GC and subsidiary of well-known industry titan is seeking a Superintendent to join our team on high-profile class-A office, cutting-edge clean room, and other healthcare-related projects across the Bay Area. For the past 7 years, our group has grown and prospered due to our unique approach in how we complete projects utilizing offsite interior construction and lean principles. With strong financial backing and a growing book of business, we are looking to meet with experienced field candidates with strong backgrounds in commercial construction for an incredible opportunity with a rising leader in construction.
What You Will Be Doing
- Participate in pre-construction scheduling, logistics and planning.
- Create project schedules and weekly look-aheads.
- Coordinate with the project management team for budgeting.
- Manage multiple projects and/or large/complex projects.
- Manage and coordinate field team including subcontractors and owner vendors.
- Coordinate plans and specifications with architects and engineers.
- Maintain and manage Clunes safety culture and OSHA standards.
- Promote teamwork and open communication on the project site.
- Recognize and resolve on-site challenges and issues.
- Mentor and train field personnel and help support and develop talent.
- Participate in potential client interviews.
What You Need for this Position
- High School Diploma
- 5-10+ years of General Contractor experience with related project experience in tenant improvement construction with related project experience (preferably with an emphasis on high-end corporate interiors and/or offsite interior construction)
- 3+ years of field supervisory experience as a Superintendent within Commercial Construction
- Working knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc.
- Ability to read project schedules and plans
- Experience with technical and high-end tenant improvement and core and shell projects locally
- Proficient computer knowledge including using programs such as MS Office, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Dropbox
