We are currently looking to expand our teams for a Superintendent for a wide range of approaching work.
What You Will Be Doing
- Oversee, manage and document all day-to-day job site activities including OSHA safety compliance.
- Direct field personnel according to the project plan and Suffolk supervisory principles.
- Communicate issues, events, performance and progress daily to the Project Manager.
- Report any problems promptly to the Project Manager to facilitate the most cost-effective solutions.
- Establish effective working relationships with clients and team members.
- Request advice and assistance from the General Superintendent on matters pertaining to materials, sequencing, scheduling and personnel.
- Project Start-Up/Turnover Meeting
- Identify pre-mobilization activities in conjunction with the Project Executive, General Superintendent, and the Project Manager.
- Develop start-up schedule with Project Manager and send it to the Project Executive and General Superintendent for review.
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field of study
- 5+ Years of commercial construction experience including related project experience with interiors construction (in Higher Education, DSA/K-12, and Healthcare Construction)
- A Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience as a Superintendent at the General Contractor-level with the demonstrated ability to estimate and manage both large-scale, ground up projects as well as complex and technical tenant improvement work
- Knowledge of all elements of commercial construction and understanding of skilled trades.
- Skilled in field productivity, and project management software.
- Previous OSHPD project experience is required
