What You Will Be Doing
As Construction Estimator, you will analyzes blueprints, specifications, RFP’s, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services for design-build and hard bid projects by performing the following duties.
Manage Bids
Writing scope and distributing it to the Sub Contractors to minimize stranded scope, omissions and double coverage.
Creating budgetary quotes for customers with limited information and plans. This would also include scope creation as needed to pull a budget together.
Compiling and tracking historical data in regards to sq ft cost. Apply those costs to future estimates.
Clarify / qualify sub proposals.
Maintain and build a Sub Contractor base to meet the needs of our Core Markets and their requirements (i.e. MBE /WBE, process piping, etc)
Assist change order review, quantification and ROM values on selected projects.
Manage RFI’s, Addendums and Notifications during bid process.
Attend job walks and “Pre Bid” meetings.
Read and understand all spec books and plans. Apprise of errors and omissions.
Creating rough durations and an overall time frame of the project. Produce a General Timeline Schedule.
Analyze Value Engineered options for completion and inclusion of secondary trades.
Assemble alternates.
This position will include Conceptual Estimating, Competitive Bid Estimating and Bid Management. Must have experience in the Industrial/Entertainment Industry.

-mid-rise multi-family experience 100 units+
