In this role, you'll be working both solo and in collaboration with our team to provide thorough evaluations of credit and documentation, identify risks, and advise decision-making as per designated limits.

What You Will Be Doing

- Evaluating credit/documents in loan files
- Identifying all potential risks
- Underwriting mortgage applications as per limits
- Analyzing income and employment details
- Evaluating asset documentation
- Reviewing credit reports and ratings
- Reviewing appraisals and ensuring proper value
- Collaborating with loan officers to finalize applications and other documentation

What You Need for this Position

- 3 Years+ experience in residential underwriting
- Knowledge of appraisal types
- Familiarity with loan documentation
- Understanding of mortgage insurance, programs, policies, and regulations
- Understanding of compliance relating to initial disclosure/re-disclosure
- Auditing skills
- Familiarity with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines
- Experience with AUS
- Encompass experience (a plus)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work solo and in a team
- Mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- DE Certification (a plus)
