What You Will Be Doing
1. Build cloud based systems and leverage Cloud Infrastructure and Data Processing for global scalability!
2. Active Part in the Open Source Community (It's not unusual to be asked to contribute / author an open source project to raise awareness)
3. Participate and advance in a fast paced environment that uses test-driven (TDD), and encourages collaboration and fast iterations
Lead backend engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications
What You Need for this Position
At Least 3 Years of experience and knowledge of Open Source software products and:
- Object Oriented Application Design / Development
- C++ experience is preferred but as long as you're open to using it - that's ok!
- Experience w/ JAVA, Scala, GoLang or other OOP
- Highly Distributed and Scalable Appplications
- High performance
- Cloud Back-End Development (Servers, Nodes, Clusters, Tuning, etc.)
- Memory Efficiency
You will be exposed to the following technologies:
- Cassandra
- Hadoop
- Kafka
- AWS Cloud
- PostgresSQL / MySQL
- GoLang
- Scala
- JVM tuning
Bonus Points for existing exposure to Go, Scala, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch
